The Advanced Open Water courses of 5 known as 'Adventure Dives'. There are two core dives:
Deep Diver
Learn the about dive planning, organization, techniques procedures and hazards about how to safely and confidently dive down to a maximum of 30 meters.
Underwater Navigator
Learn how to use a compass and navigate underwater building up to you navigating the entire dive.
And then the last three are electives, and its up to you, we recommend the following as the next most beneficial to any diver completing his/her AOW.
Peak Performance Buoyancy
A dive filled with exercises, in shallow water aimed at improving your buoyancy and buoyancy control. The aim is to help you improve your breathing techniques and therefore extend your bottom times.
But you can also choose an elective from the following:
AWARE Fish Identification
Learn about the common fish families and species found in the local waters. You will also learn basic fish identification and scientific survey techniques as well as how important personal involvement is in aquatic conservation.
Boat Diver
This adventure dive is covered in all the adventure dives, as they are all done from a boat. We therefore recommend you do not choose this an elective dive.
Diver Propulsion Vehicle*
Always fancied yourself as a bit of a James Bond? Well now is your chance to try on a handheld underwater scooter., surely the easiest way to get around any dive site!
Drift Diver
Learn the procedures and techniques for diving in a current. Just relax and enjoy the marine life as you glide along in the current.
Multi-Level Diver
Learn about dive planning using both the Recreational Dive Planner and dive computers which allow you to spend longer underwater due to more advanced dive planning.
Search and Recovery
Learn and practice how to locate missing objects and bring them to the surface.
Underwater Photographer*
Learn all the tips and tricks of how to take photographs underwater, and then get a dive in which to practice them.
Underwater Videography*
Learn all the tricks and tips of how to film underwater. Then go out diving and make a film to see how much you have learnt.
Wreck Diver *
Learn all the skills and techniques for exploring sunken ships, aero planes and more!
